There is nothing like spending a Friday night in.. canning with a friend! Last fall Molly and I started with Strawberry Jam (total hit) then we ordered a pound of pickling spice, a million cloves of garlic, 5 carrots and 3 red bell peppers and set to work picking garlic! To be honest there are lots of mathematical equations needed at the start of canning (sea level knowledge, oz to lbs conversions, vintage ball jar sizes, just to name a few) so I am still not sure if it quite turned out.. but my co-worker, Laura Southwick did eat a whole jar in one day.
